When will the hub be in use?
Once the room refurbishment has been completed the school will utilise the facilities for activities such as Wednesday Workers, cooking etc.
At this point it will also be available for booking by other agencies and partner providers.
One of the first activities will be to establish a regular meeting time for parents to come along for a chat and a cuppa with no strings attached. This will give parents an opportunity to visit the room and meet with other parents.
Agencies who are already working in school on a regular basis will also access the room.
Monitoring the use of the community hub room
- Diary booking in system
- All external agency staff will have appropriate PVG checks done
- Timetable in place for school use of the room
- Signing in and out at main entrance to the school – school staff will know who is in and where they are at all times
- Children in school will be made aware of their responsibilities and behaviour when we have visitors in the building
- Children only access the hub with school staff or when directed by staff to attend specific activities
- Any visitors using the hub room will only have access to staff or disabled toilets
